Polytheistic Religions- Topic of Choice 4

I have always been interested in different Polytheistic religions. Geek and Roman mythology was what first interested me. Later, I learned abut Ancient Egypt, the Native American Church, and Hinduism. I like the idea of polytheistic religions, because I feel like running the entire universe, and then whatever else there is (heaven, hell, afterlife, etc.) is just so much work. It makes more sense to me that duties would be dived out and different gods would have specific areas they excelled in. I feel like if this were the case, it would also help explain when things don't go right and aren't perfect. Like in Greece, if there was a huge festival that was going great for the first few hours but then it got stormy and rained on, you could say that Zeus is not happy with Dionysus and Pan right now. So it would make sense that Zeus, king of the gods and god of thunder and lightning, would rain on a festival if he wasn't happy with Dionysus and Pan because they were the gods of wine and music, respectively, who were both prayed to before parties, ceremonies, festivities. Since Zeus was the king of the gods, his authority outweighs theirs. I liked the stories where the gods would get into tiffs with one another and it would spill over into human lives. It's logistically easier for me to stomach that one person in charge of everything. Plus... I feel like that would get boring. Friends and equals are nice to have! They make everything more interesting.
