Writing is my great escape from the world. This article describes the emotional release and pleasure of writing and why it is so beneficial. Stories can be told and happiness can be flooded on pages. Every worry in the world or memory can be jotted down. Things that one is not comfortable speaking about can be written down on paper and help ease that tension. Being able to write down my feelings and get everything out on paper has been my safe place for years, allowing me to feel more peace. Negative spiritual, mental, and physical feelings can build very easily. Writing allows for the negatives to be diminished on paper. Why is writing so much easier than speaking? It is more personal and controllable. There is no raising of voice, no forgetting of words, no filter. It is just you, the pen, and the paper. You are able to escape the world and dwell on your thoughts in acceptance for a bit.
