Phenomenology of Prayer Ch 14
This chapter discusses prayer and how it is a means of communication with our creator. We are innately born with a desire to connect with the being, our Father God, that gave us life. The author describes how God is holy because He is the creator Lord over all and of all. He gave us a Spirit, a holy spirit, to dwell within us and that is our conscious. It talks about praying with passion, Derrida ’s phenomenological analysis of the gift, Ignatius of Loyola’s mandate to seek God in all things, and Levinas’s pure prayer of pure givenness.
