Halter Natural Setting Experience
I live right by the Potomac River and in my neighborhood we have access to a small little beach just a minute walk from my house. For years, I can recall walking their to fish with my family, swim, have a bonfire, see the effects of various hurricanes, view a super moon, watch the recent solar eclipse, etc. As a child, I was young and worry free. Going to the river was just fun and games; I never really saw anymore significance in it. Now that I've grown, life isn't all fun and games. There are worries, stresses, losses that life throws our way. When I'm down, I have often walked to the river to experience some peace. It's amazing how nature is incredibly healing. Every time I've visited this beach access, a strong sense of serenity always comes over me. I know the reasoning is because the beauty of nature brings me closer to God. The world is full of sin. Humans are full of sin, but nature remains untouched of sin; it is pure. For me, the purity of nature is a spiritual connection to God and that's why it will always be something I can turn to when I long for some peace.
