Helmer Lion's Gate Bridge

Over Thanksgiving break, I was able to take a trip to the Lion's Bridge before I headed home for the week. Trish and I decided it would be a great idea to go before we left, so we could have all our thoughts in this moment and time, instead of worrying about the stresses of schoolwork or any other distractions going on. Looking out onto the water from the bridge was truly an amazing and free feeling. The weather was frigid, but that didn't take away from the experience at all. The sun was beating down on us and we were just enjoying the spiritual place we were in at the moment. The grass was flowing in the wind and the leaves on the trees were falling every second. The color of Fall was painted across the scene as a whole and it was truly a warming feeling inside. We decided to leave our phones in the car, so we could truly have no distractions and we sat near the foot of the bridge for a while taking it all in. The lion statues were very well constructed and they gave off a feeling of being bold and powerful whenever I looked at them. I was able to experience flow when we were sitting there and it was definiely much needed. Emptying my mind of every thought except what was happening at that moment gave me a new feeling I had never experienced before. I believe this was truly a spiritual experience and I am glad to have done it.
