Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture

This passage discusses liminal phases and aspects in life. Turner describes liminality to be a change or distortion process one goes through in their life. It is described as an "in-between" stage in one's life. I have experienced liminality in my lifetime. I transferred schools after my sophomore year in college. I left my friend group, my softball team, my professors, and every part of me that I became there. All of the people around me were shifted and my life changed to a completely different phase. It took me a very long time to move on from that part of my life and I was very emotionally, socially, and mentally torn between the two lives I experienced in different places.
