Reflection on Isaiah 66

The prophecy of Isaiah recalls the tale of Isaiah as he undergoes trials and tribulations from God. Isaiah is one of my favorite books of the Bible because it preaches the importance of the journey to make the destination that much better. God stresses the importance of sacrifice. Even when Jerusalem births righteousness, there must be birthing pains. Isaiah 66:9 states "'Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery' says the Lord. 'Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?'" In saying this, God tells that there is always a plan and that even throughout all of the heartache and struggle, there is reason. Sacrifice is necessary to reach a true destination. Sacrifice is shown throughout major hiking trips. It is only when you are at your worst, that the best is revealed to you. Isaiah had to undergo struggle and strife in order to make his faith strong so that Heaven would be his final destination.
