Sacred Place- The Jordan River
Sacred places have deeper meanings to them and can go beyond our understanding. The Jordan River is a sacred place that is 156 miles long and ends at the Dead Sea. It plays major roles in the biblical narratives like the baptism of Jesus and the Israelite's crossing the Jordan River to enter the promise land. Still today the Jordan River has significance and meaning to many people such as Christians and also followers of Christ. This sacred place served as a crossing point, spiritual rebirth, salvation and being the source of holy water. This place can make people have connections to the eternal and make us feel closer to the Divine. The Jordan Rover has been and still is a part of history and biblical history.
