Swanson Camino Documentary

[In class reflection of film][Personal Choice]
The Camino is a place where the countries of the world meet. Similar to Lane's Axiom of sacred place being both centripetal and centrifugal (local and universal), the Camino is both cherished locally by the communities along the Camino, as well as, universally as people come from all parts of the world for the journey. The cultural difference creates a minor language barrier, but no matter the language a person speaks there's the universal greeting of "Bueno Camino" that unites the people of the Camino. A man remarked that when when many people hike the Camino, they do it for various reasons but many simply hear about it and know they have to go.
While on the Camino, a lady was in need of a dentist, so she went into an office and had x-rays done, in return for dental service, the dentist said that she didn't owe any money but to pray for two people once she reached Santiago. This spoke loudly to me because it revealed to me some of the values of the people of Spain and the presence of hospitality along the Camino
